Salman Khan’s Sikandar was expected to deliver a strong overseas advance booking, especially given his massive fan base in international markets. However, the numbers as of March 28 paint a different picture, with the film struggling to create an impact. The total overseas advance booking gross stands at $440K, including premiere shows.

While Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 had a similar level of pre-sales, the Gulf region’s numbers are much lower compared to Singham Again—a clear sign that the buzz isn’t translating into high ticket sales. Even worse, the opening may struggle to reach even 50% of what region, it is comparable to Singham Again. Nonetheless, the overall reaction is disappointing and significantly below expectations.
Overseas Advance Booking – Region-Wise Breakdown
ADisappointing Start – What This Means for Sikandar
The low pre-sales numbers were unexpected, and they now put immense pressure on the film’s opening weekend. If Sikandar fails to generate positive word-of-mouth, it could struggle to recover in key overseas markets.
Here’s why these numbers matter:
North America ($130K): A crucial market for Bollywood, but this number is much lower than recent Salman Khan films.
Gulf ($105K): Usually one of the strongest overseas markets for him, but significantly below expectations.
Australia & NZ ($50K): A niche but growing market that also shows signs of weak demand.
Europe & UK ($155K): The only decent number, but still not strong enough to lift overall collections.
Final Thoughts – Can Sikandar Turn the Tide?
At this stage, it looks unlikely that Sikandar will match previous Salman Khan blockbusters overseas. Unless the film gets strong audience reactions and excellent word-of-mouth, the overseas opening weekend could turn out to be one of his weakest in recent years.
