Atlee’s Next Film: Allu Arjun to Lead a ₹600 Crore Pan-India Spectacle

Pan India Star Allu Arjun is set to collaborate with Atlee on a grand-scale, high-budget project. Speculations that have been circulating for months can now be laid to rest, as CinemaMarvel India has learned that Allu Arjun will take the lead in acclaimed filmmaker Atlee Kumar’s upcoming period action drama.

While the formal paperwork is still in progress, sources indicate that Pushpa 2’s lead actor has more or less given his approval. Atlee has already begun organizing pre-production details, with plans to officially start preparations between April and May. The film will be mounted on a lavish scale, with schedules and logistics currently being finalized.

The prestigious Sun Pictures, known for bankrolling Tamil blockbusters such as Enthiran, Sarkar, Beast, Jailer, and the soon-to-be-released Coolie, is backing this highly ambitious project. Despite concerns regarding the production budget, the studio remains committed to financing this collaboration. Reports suggest that the film’s budget could exceed 600 crores, making it one of the most expensive films ever made in India

This yet-to-be-titled epic is set against the backdrop of a grand historical setting, with reincarnation serving as a key theme. Spectacular visuals and a gripping narrative are expected to elevate this film beyond anything Atlee has previously delivered. The movie will feature two central male characters, with Allu Arjun confirmed and the other lead yet to be locked in. Additionally, three leading actresses will be part of the cast, with Janhvi Kapoor reportedly in discussions for a significant role.

It has been revealed that this is the same project that was initially linked to Salman Khan. However, due to Sun Pictures' reluctance to finance a Salman-led film, the production team explored other casting options. There were also talks of casting Hollywood star Will Smith in a parallel role, but discussions never advanced after learning about his remuneration expectations.
